Faten Alsarraf, among the Middle East most prominent interior designers & Architects, heads one of the region’s most successful and versatile full-service Interior design & Fit Out firms. Faten, the only female designer and contractor who has worked with so many top government officials and private clients in the UAE, Iraq and elsewhere in the area, directs a company that has more suppliers and resources than any other Middle Eastern design firm.

Her Dubai-based company, Final Fix Interiors, established in 2009, provides a complete line of interior design services for Hotels, Private Villas, Royal Palaces, Offices, Yachts, Schools and other facilities in the UAE, Iraq, the other GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman), and elsewhere. The company works with more than 5,000 vendors worldwide of furniture, fabrics, Lighting, hard finishes, artwork and other commodities, and also has its own production facilities for Joinery, furniture, upholstery & curtains.

Born in Basrah/ Iraq in 1966, graduated from the College of Architecture in Baghdad University on 1989, worked in the field of Architecture & Project Managment for 9 years before she got her Master Degree in Interior Design on 1998 and started working on Interior Design & Fit Out field since then.

In 1996, the revovation work of a 15-story bank in Iraq (Al Rafidain Bank) was the first such project ever assigned to a female as an independent contractor through her private firm (Alsarraf Engineering & Contracting) based in Baghdad/ Iraq. She was also the only female contractor involved in the post-war rebuilding of Iraq, managing the remodeling of ten sites as a member of the consultancy team assigned for this fast track task.

Faten used her vast experience in interior design, architecture and contracting work in UAE, Iraq, Jordan, serving leading government and private clients.

One of her most challenging work was when she was in charge of Interior design & fit out services for the Engineers Office of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and The Ruler of Dubai as a Managing Director for 5 years. She managed a team of 600 professionals, overseeing the Interior Design Studio, budgets, interacting with contractors and coordinating the projects from design stage till the handover.
